At Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue our only goal is to render aid to people! Whether it is a fire, a medical emergency, a wreck, or any of the other thousands of calls we may be requested to respond to. We want to support the community and help people, in many cases we come face to face with people on their worst day. Not only is this difficult for the patient or victim and their families it can also take a toll on the firefighters who respond to these calls. For most of our calls, we are able to bring a successful outcome even though property may be lost or minor injuries may occur. However, there always seem to be some calls that are difficult for everyone involved. Attached are some of the photos from traffic wrecks that occurred in August in Cypress Pointes District. Unfortunately, this was a difficult month for many: we responded to three traffic-related deaths, a drowning, and a suicide.
We ask that the driving public: slow down, focus on the roads and those around you, and always wear your seatbelt. We also encourage you to slow down in life and talk to your family members and your neighbors. Help someone in need or just show compassion to a stranger. Support each other as we support our members. Stay Safe! |
