Just after 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning CPFR and Moore County EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle wreck near the U.S. 1 By-Pass and Main Street in Vass. Upon the arrival of CPFR units they located a car in the wood line and a female occupant still in the car and unable to get out. The crew from Engine 211 determined that the occupant was not pinned in the car but just could not get out, they worked with her to get out of the rear door on the car. After the patient was out of the car both fire and medical personnel examined her for injuries, and she ultimately refused transportation to the hospital. This wreck was very difficult to see from the roadway, due it being surrounded by trees and the occupant was very luck not to have any significate injuries. This incident is under investigation by the North Carolina Highway Patrol. |
