On June 1, 2024, Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue participated in the annual statewide Smoke Detector Campaign coordinated by the North Carolina Office of the State Fire Marshal. CPFR Staff inspected 61 homes for working smoke detectors and we installed 45 new smoke detectors. Of those installations 5 homes did not have smoke detectors at all. Having working smoke detectors in your home is extremely important as they are a lifesaving device. The expense of a smoke detector is low verses the cost of protecting your family and home. The fire department will install your smoke detector for you or in some instances we have free smoke detectors to distribute. If you need a smoke detector or you need help installing a detector, call us.
