Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue and the North Carolina Forest Service were dispatched to an outside fire on Graham Road in Cameron. While units were enroute to the incident it was upgraded to a structure fire because the outside fire had spread to a building. This brought additional units from Carthage Fire Department and Whispering Pines Fire Department to the incident.

Multiple lines were deployed to extinguish both the grass fire which was spreading and control the fire that had spread to the building. The fire was caused by a controlled burn that got away from its original location.
