On Saturday CPFR was dispatched to a vehicle fire on U.S.1 By-Pass in Vass, initially with an unconfirmed location. The original dispatch was for south of the Vass Main Street intersection. As additional information was received the dispatch center rebroadcast the location as north of the intersection.
As Engine 211 and Tanker 216 arrived they located a pick-up truck fully involved and initial attack was initiated. The two occupants of the vehicle were out of the truck however, one occupant has a non-life-threatening burn on her leg. Medic 28 and Medic 30 treated the patient for the burn.
U.S. 1 By-Pass South bound was closed while the fire was extinguished.
